Color Influences

When we choose colors for our homes, our cloths or even our cars we unknowingly have been influenced by so many things. Sherwin Williams delivered a wonderful presentation of just those things yesterday at their Colormix 2014.

I gleaned new perspectives …………..We are literally driven by the presence and absence of negative space and what is in between- it is what we see.  Along with the shapes and lines that become form we are gathering the layers that eventually lead us to our color choices.  Especially the grey’s that are forcast as the new black to set the back stage for a vibrant red- Showtopper, fuchsia Dynamo, orange-Raucous Orange or gold-Ceremonial Gold.

I walked away with new appreciation of the concept, “less is more” and how trusting our senses can help us define the colors we want to live in. Setting the tone for calm serenity or bold strength – as simple as paint.
